The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has come out to address claims of Davido’s arrest at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) earlier today
According to reports by local daily, the international artiste Davido’s arrest came at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) after his private jet was found with contrabands, noting that it was 3Kg of Cocaine.
However, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has rubbished the reports claiming that they were fake and ungrounded and should be treated so.

The story that was published by K24 alleges that Davido was arrested after the officers from Anti-Narcotics Police Unit conducted a search in his private jet in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and was found in possession of three kilograms of Cocaine valued at Ksh. 18M.
After the flagging of the post by the DCI, the News station came out to claim that their post was in line with today’s date and was aimed at celebrating the world’s fools day.
However, the post has been criticised across the social media platforms with most users claiming that the joke was taken too far and might have a bad reputation to the international artiste.

Other kenyans have even called on the artist to sue the media company for damages citing that the company took the joke too far with associating the artist with cocaine.
However, the artist is yetbto respond to the media company nor is yet to issue a statement about the same having been in the country recently to perform at a concert.
