A wife to an uber guy who disappeared a week ago has been arrested in connection to the disappearance of her husband. This is in connection to a statement she wrote while filing a report of missing persons.
Detectives say that the statement she recorded while reporting a missing person doesn’t add up. Teresia Masese and Evans Moracha have been living in Mihango area, Utawala. The disappearance of Evans raises more questions than answers on Teresia.
Using the vehicle tracker, Evans’ car was traced to different stopovers before being abandoned in Mihango, a kilometre away from his home. His family has been searching for him but to no avail.
According to reports dug by detectives, Evans went to his home late in the night for a rest before resuming his taxi business. He was then picked by unknown people from his home at that night.
“It is said he came home after two and rested because he is an Uber man. As he disappeared, it is said that he was picked up from his home at 1:15 am and since then he has never been traced”
Evans’ family has expressed shock on these discoveries with his brother, Richard Moracha wondering how people can pick you from your house that is supposed to be your safe haven.
After filing a missing persons report at the Kayole Police Station, in a statement, Teresia claimed her husband never came home that night. This goes contrary to the tracking device that shows Evans went home that night.
According to Richard, the statement didn’t add up.
“We contacted the tracking company and it shows that the car is moving from the house at 1 am. Those are the questions that do not add up.”
According to the tracker information that was provided by the tracking company, the car left Chokaa area at 1:44am. It joined Kangundo Road and was spotted in Sagana at 03:49am. 54 minutes later, it indicates tge car being in Kirinyaga.
That morning at 06:50am, the car was seen in Kasarani. After then the car is seen at Astrol Police Station in Runda. The car then moved to Gitaru and then to Ongata Rongai at 10:02am. It was later spotted at South C at 11:09am and at Airport South Road in Pipeline at 3:01pm. It was then abandoned in Nairobi’s Njiiru area.
As police continue their investigation, Evans wife remains a person of interest as his family keep seaching for him.
