Loyal customers steal goods worth 400K
A CCTV footage has revealed how a Nairobi businessman lost her goods worth 400K after loyal customers drilled hole to steal the goods.
According to the CCTV footage, the establishment which is a cyber cafe was looted by loyal customers who frequently visited the cafe for various services.
An employee of the business located in the Utawala Area of Nairobi who narrated the incident to the press said that despite the availability of the CCTV footage, the perpetrators have never been brought to book till date.

The footage shows the two customers who have been customers of the cyber cafe for the past three months jumped over a wall before drilling through the wall that they used to access the shop.
“They jumped over the perimeter wall and drilled through the wall and accessed the premises through the back. The incident set us back because the photo studio has been affected and we could not reinstall the PS.”
The employee claims that the incident has set back the business and affected the operations with some equipments yet to be recovered and even forcing them to close down a section of the business.
“We have only regained a few accessories for the cyber cafe and have been forced to close down because we do not have enough resources to return to operations.”

The owner reported the incident to Mihang’o Police Station and shared the CCTV footage with detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) but arrests are yet to be made.
“They were our customers and we suspect they harboured plans to steal because they never paid with mobile money, all their transactions were in cash. It seems they have been investigating this because they had a lot of information when they visited.”
