A terrible accident has been reported today involving a Malindi bound bus and a trailer which collided head on causing the Taru accident.
The bus from the Mash Poa company was heading to Malindi when the unfortunate accident happened on the Christmas eve.
According to various reports, two casualties have been reported so far in the seemingly ugly accident and scores have been injured.

The injured have been rushed to Taru SubCounty Hospital following a road accident involving a bus heading to Malindi.
According to Lydia Mambo, the Samburu region police commander, Kwale County, the incident occurred when a Mash Company bus traveling from Nairobi and a trailer truck headed in the opposite direction collided on Sunday
One person succumbed to injuries at the scene, while the other, passed away as they were being taken to the hospital. Others who sustained injuries are currently receiving medical attention at various hospitals in the area, including Mariakani Hospital.
This comes after other series of accidents that have been happening across the country especially during this christmas season with most happening due to recklessness.

Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen launched the Highway Code and Driver’s Handbooks which are part of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) Usalama Barabarani campaign aimed at enhancing safe road user behaviour and survivability of traffic victims in road incidences.
The Highway Code provides rules and guidelines on how to use the road. All road users – pedestrians, cyclists and motorists – have a right to access the road, but they should always act responsibly so as to ensure the safety for all.
