President William Ruto’s Cabinet Secretary has come out to reveal how a failed coup nearly threw President Ruto off his seat leading to a fueled Impeachment Motion against Rigathi Gachagua ahead of Kindiki’s Swearing In.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale revealed that there was a plan to overthrow President William Ruto in the middle of the Gen Z Protests that threw the government into confusion.
According to the Cabinet Secretary, he cannot name the person who was behind the move due to the oath of secrecy in the cabinet and will only reveal it once he retires through a book, but hinted that Gachagua could have been part of the plans since one of the charges of his impeachment was touching on matters of national security.

“I cannot say anything about who was in charge because I am still in government, I am under the oath of Cabinet Collective Responsibility but when I retire, I will write a book. But I have told you there was a coup and that’s why one of the charges against an impeachment motion is about national security. You need to read between the lines.”
Duale further faulted Gachagua of using his position to throw the country into further confusion by holding a press briefing in Coast after President William Ruto had addressed the nation, further going ahead to criticise key institutions like the NIS.
“There are certain institutions in our country we don’t disparage and indict. Not only the national intelligence but the security organs like the National Intelligent Service, the Kenya Defense Forces, the Judiciary, DPP and EACC”
