After being grilled for over 10 hours by the DCI, Brian Mwenda who has been accused of impersonation finally spoke to the media. The fake lawyer, now a suspect denied the allegations leveled against him.
He also urged his supporters to pray and support him through all this.
“I cannot disclose much due to the ongoing investigations, but all I can say is maybe this was for a greater purpose. Let’s see how it ends, and keep praying for me.”
The suspect also thanked the former Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko for his support. With him also was Kenya Universities Students Organisation mambers. Trade Union Secretary General Francis Atwoli was also thanked by the fake lawyer according to DCI
Mwenda recorded his statement at the Muthaiga Police Station and was released for a Ksh 100,000 cash bail. He appears before the Milimani court today (Wednesday) to take a plea
Sonko confirmed that he will support Brian Mwenda to the very end. “I have been helping before even before I became a governor. Brian is a Kenyan and I will be with him till the end. To me he has committed no offence yet, innocent until proven guilty.”
Brian Mwenda wrapped it up by by revealing plans to vie for a political seat come 2027. We wait for more details as the law takes its course.
