The National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) released their report after 3 months of deliberations on Sat. The report has brought mixed reactions in the Azimio camp with one side openly rejecting the report and the other silently agreeing with it. This shows Azimio split over report
The divisions emerged immediately after the release of the report on Saturday by NADCO. With the government side agreeing with the outcomes of the report. President William Ruto said he will work to implement the recommendations.
The Opposers
Through their X platforms, the opposers took to the keyboard to reject the outcomes of the talk. This they cited that the report did not address the burden of kenyans especially the cost of living.

Martha Karua said that any report that doesn’t address the cost of living, electoral injustice and multiparty democracy is as well as null and void.
“Any purported agreement that does not immediately impact on cost of living , electoral justice and respect for multiparty democracy is a fraud on the people and must be rejected.”
This clearly showed that she was against the report and did not agree with the outcome of the talks by the National Dialogue Committee.
Eugine Wamalwa on the other hand also made his stand known as he openly rejected the report saying he did not append his signature on the final report because it didn’t address the real issue of cost of living.
“l didn’t & will not append my signature to the NADCO report,& have not &will not accept any sitting allowance for the same because l believe we did not do justice to the single most important issue to Kenyans that is, the cost of living.”
The Silent Proposers.
Being a devided coalition, there rose a section of the silent proposers who silently agree with the recommendations by the National Dialogue Committee report. Maybe the devide and rule tactic will work for Kenya Kwanza.
Kalonzo Musyoka was and even released the report as a co-principal together with Kimani Ichung’wah. He appended his signature on the report and basically agreed with it. This means he accepted the recommendations and the report in general.
Raila Odinga has not spoken on the issue since the release of the report on Saturday. This may be because of the Nyanza tour that he is currently on. But at a time of this article, he is a silent proposer due to his silence on the matter.
However, Kimani Ichung’wah has openly criticised Eugine Wamalwa for claiming he did not append his signature. Speaking on X platform, Ichung’wah said that Wamalwa left prematurely.
“This one left on Friday ahead of conclusion of the talks claiming he was traveling to Kinshasa and left his blessings to the rest of their team. He said he would sign when back. As indicated in our statement, all along there were forces linked to past state capture that were hellbent on scuttling the talks.”
The Azimio split over report comes after Kenyans raised concerns over cost of living that they needed discussed on the talks.
