Barely two days after the notorious Haiti Gang leader sent a chilling message to the kenyan police forces, The United Nation has changed tactics on how to tackle the gangs.
In a statement by the UN rights expert William O’Neill, Haiti will require up to 5,000 police officers to effectively combat and dismantle the deadly gangs led by Berbecue.
According to O’Neil, the current situation in Haiti is on it’s worse ever and the situation needs approximately 4000 to 5000 man power to combat the escalating situation in the country.

This comes two days after Haiti gang leader Berbecue said that they are ready to combat the 1000 police officers that kenya will deploy to Haiti and they will treat them as invaders who want to crush theur freedom.
“If the Kenyan military or police come, whatsoever, I will consider them, aggressors. We will consider them as invaders and we do not have to collaborate with any invaders that have come to walk over our independence.”
In O’Neill’s report, detailing the situation in Haiti over the past five months, ending in February, revealed that gangs continue to recruit and exploit boys and girls thus continue increasing in number.
He further stated that impunity and poor governance, along with escalating gang violence, have severely undermined the rule of law, bringing institutions in Haiti dangerously close to collapse
