Thirdway Alliance Kenya party leader Ekuru Aukot has come out to bash Opposition coalition, Azimio as being part of government hence their change of tactic in opposing the government.
According to Aukot, the opposition has not been able to administer its role because they were long “bought” by the nation’s ruling party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
“I don’t think we have opposition, we have a very compromised opposition. These people are in government in fact the so-called Azimio was bought by UDA a long time ago by UDA as early as February last year.”

Since the bipartisan talks held at the Bomas of Kenya, which resulted in the controversial National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report, the opposition has been trying to make public proclamations against the state, while they work with the government behind the curtains.
Ekuru Aukot states that the NADCO report failed to address the key issues that led to its formation in the first place but the key leaders agreed with the outcomes that were used to hoodwink kenyans to think it was for their own good.
“One of the evidence is the bogus Bomas talks. That was just choreographed to manage the bases. The idea was for us to be able to work together we have to present to the nation something that looks plausible.”

This comes after several reports that the coalition is on the brink of fallout with Martha Karua and Kalonzo openly going at each other but the coalition Leader has mantained that the party is still intact and united.
“There is no danger that Azimio collapsing anytime soon, nobody has left Azimio it has remained intact apart from a few members of parliament who have decided to take a walk.”
