“We had come here to witness the postmortem and it was completed by Dr Ndegwa and the family pathologist. We have been given the results that the late Ruta died of severe pneumonia.”
Timothy Njaga noted that the autopsy was conducted in presence of the family Pathologist and the results are conclusive and the family should be accorded the privacy in these difficult moments.
“We should remember that there is a family that is affected. We also thank the media fraternity for their good words towards our sister and friend.”
This comes after Rita Tinina was found dead in her house in Kileleshwa on Sunday after failing to wake up to go to her job at NTV.
Speaking to the police, Rita Tinina’s househelp claims that she woke up as usual and went on with her chores but realised Tinina was not waking up as earlier planned.

Tinina was to wake up by 8 am and prepare for work as she was to produce the 1 pm bulletin. But she had not woken up by 9 am which prompted her to knock at her bedroom with no response.
This prompted her to enter the room and she touched Tinina and realised she was unresponsive. It was then she called one of the family friends who was last with Tinina on Saturday night who then informed the family.
