A woman in Kasarani is said to have crashed to death after being pushed from the 10th floor of a Kasarani apartment on Saturday.
The Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who arrived on the scene were informed that the incident happened in the wee hours of Saturday morning following a commotion inside the apartment.
After the argument and commotion, residents heard a thud on ground floor only to learn that the woman had been pushed to her death.

Her body was disfigured owing to the impact of the thud as sources confirms. Immediately, residents called Officers attached to Kasarani Police Station who were dispatched to the scene following distress calls over the incident.
The detectives have so far cordoned off the apartment, which serves as a short-term stay accommodation, to establish the events that led to the woman’s demise.
The woman was yet to be identified as the police officers started their investigations to establish what led to the incident. Following identification of the body, the police will contact the lady’s family and subsequently conduct a post-mortem examination to establish the actual cause of her death.
The incident comes amid recent concerns regarding femicide cases in the country. According to data from Femicide Count Kenya, at least ten women were killed in January 2024, indicating a worrying trend. Additionally, 504 women lost their lives between 2019 and 2024.

More details about the incident are yet to be established as the officers are still interviewing and gathering intelligence that will help in bringing the perpetrators to book.
The woman being pushed from 10th floor to her death comes months after Rita Waeni was reportedly murdered in Kasarani, Roysambu area and her body parts dismembered.
