Shocking news reaching the NewsProjector is that a woman has been brutally murdered by her husband over a dispute the same day activists are flocking the streets to protest against femicide.
According to reports, a 27 year old man has been arrested after travelling to his wife’s home to solve a marital dispute before stabbing his wife due to a heated argument in the home.
Police say that the suspect travelled to Kipsolu, Kericho County where he followed the wife after having a dispute. After failing to agree on a common course, the suspect took a knife from a nearby table before using it to stab the victim.

Following the incident, neighbours rushed to the house where they found the victim lying in a pool of blood and decided to descend on the suspect in a mob baying for his blood.
However, officers attached to Sosiot Police Station quickly arrived at the scene before they could lynch him and fired two rounds in the air to disperse the crowd which was ready to kill him.
Meanwhile, the victim’s body was rushed to Kericho County Referral Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The suspect was also arrested after being rescued and investigations commenced to ascertain the motive of his actions.
This comes amid surge of femicide cases in the country that have painted a grim picture of high gross murders that have forced women and activists to call out the government to protect women against femicide.

Today, several women and activists flocked the streets of various towns across the country to raise their voices against such incidents and protest against femicide that has rocked the country in the recent months.
