Another Senior Police Officer Walter Nyamato Dies in the US
Washington DC-based authorities are investigating the death of police officer Walter Nyamato, a Kenyan Police Commissioner, who was found dead at a hotel in the United States on Wednesday, February 14
According to reports, police Officer Walter Nyamato was acting as the personal assistant to Deputy Inspector General of Police Noor Gabow until his death today in the US.
This comes days after the country lost another former top ranking Assistant Inspector-General of Police King’ori Mwangi who diesd while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital.

Walter Nyamato was among a team of senior officials who had toured the US during the weekend before the untimely death happened. However, investigations into the death have been launched.
News Projector was made aware that the team arrived in Washington on Saturday to attend a security operations seminar. The officials booked various hotels in the State to facilitate their stay.
On Wednesday morning, the commissioner is said to have failed to wake up which triggered alarm amongst his colleagues when he failed to pick up calls
This is when his colleagues went to wake him up but found him non-responsive. They proceeded to alert the authorities who secured the room for further investigations.

The cause of his death has not yet been determined as by the time of this article. However, his family and colleagues back in the country have been informed of the unfortunate incident.
US authorities have since launched investigations to establish the cause of Nyamato’s death. The police officer’s body is expected to be flown back to the country once investigations are completed and his cause of death confirmed as per the protocol.
