Sniper’s Murder: Another Key suspect in the murder of Meru based blogger Daniel Muthiani alias Sniper has been arrested by Detectives from the DCI Headquarters Homicide Department.
The detectives led by Director Martin Nyuguto, raided the home of a suspect who is believed to be a boda boda rider who according to reports had a hand in the disappearance and murder of Sniper.
This comes a day after detectives raided the home of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza to collect evidence that could aid in the case. That was after Kawira Mwangaza’s Son, brother and three others were arrested late last week on the same links.

NewsProjector learns that detectives acted on a tip-off from members of the public before raiding the home of Brian Mwenda, a boda boda rider, on the outskirts of Gachanka Village, Ntima East division in North Imenti constituency.
Taking approximately four hours collecting relevant evidence in Mwenda’s residence, police have already confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and is in custody before the operation took place. He will be arraigned at the Kiambu Law Courts on Monday.
According to investigators, the deceased was lured by the five suspects through a phone call alleging that Governor Mwangaza wanted to meet him to settle scores.
Before his disappearance and finally murder, Sniper was a firm critic of the current Meru leadership led by Kawira Mwangaza. Sniper disappeared on December 2 and his body was discovered on December 16, 2023.
The Murder case of sniper has received a nationwide interest with Kenyans and various leaders among them Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki, calling for the swift actions to bring the perpetrators to book and ensure that Sniper’s family gets justice for their kin.
