Another accident has been recorded after an ambulance belonging to Murang’a County Government plunged into a river on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, the ambulance was coming from Thika before the driver had lost control leading to the tragedy as explained by Motorists Association of Kenya (MAK).
“Muranga County ambulance crashes into a river at Murang’a coming from Thika after the driver failed to negotiate a curve next to a river.”

A tow truck was immediately deployed to the crash site to pull the ambulance off the river. However, it was not immediately established whether there was patients in the ambulance or it was heading for a pick up.
This comes at a time when kenyans have raised over increase of accidents with five fatal accidents happening in a span of a week which have mostly been blamed on careless driving, unroadworthy cars and poor roads.
Of high magnitude was the Kenyatta University bus that was involved in an accident at Voi in Taita Taveta County leading to the death of 11 students.

Before then, a bus ferrying students from Kapsabet Boys High School who were heading for an academic trip was involved in an accident, claiming a life of a teacher and a student kn the spot.
This has forced Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to call for mandatory physical and medical testing of all Kenyan drivers failure to which defiant drivers will not be issued a driving licence by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).
