Former Nandi Hills MP, Alfred Keter has finally broken his silence barely a day after his dramatic arrest that happened in front of his wife and kids while attending church in Nairobi.
Speaking after interrogation at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters, Keter said that he will not be coerced to silence by the government and proceeded to reveal questions he was asked during interrogation.

The former MP who has been a fierce critic of the Kenya Kwanza Government and strong opposer of the controversial Finance Bill 2024 said that he was asked about his relationship with former President and current Deputy President.
“When I was arrested, I was asked about my relationship with former President Uhuru Kenyatta and my relationship with the current Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.”
However, Alfred Keter mantained that the main reason behind his dramatic arrest was his stand on the anti-Finance Bill protests that have been taking place in the country to act as an intimidation tactic towards him.
Keter further accused the Kenya Kwanza government of failing to keep it’s promises to the Kenyan people which were made during the campaign period and listen to the cries of the people.
This comes after the DCI confirmed that Keter was arrested and not abducted as earlier reported, citing that the former MP had been on their radar on charges related to trafficking arms and incitement for violence.
While speaking about the dramatic arrest, President William Ruto on Sunday evening said that the police conducted the arrest following Keter’s failure to adhere to summons by law enforcement authorities
