Alarm has been raised after the country recorded several accidents today that have seen several people injured and ten people succumbing in the latest Machakos accident.
According to reports, a tragic road accident involving a Matatu has just happened near Katangi, Machakos County that has claimed ten people on the spot while others are reportedly stuck.
The matatu which appeared to have rolled is said to have several passengers on board and several others have been injured as help was yet to be provided by the time of this article.
This comes after the country recorded two other major accidents that have made kenyans raise alarm and concerns over the current safety on roads with kenyans calling for tightened inspections of vehicles and drivers
Moments ago, a 14-seater matatu from Wareng Luxury Shuttle travelling to Eldoret from Kericho is said to have lost control and rolled several times before veering off the road.
Several passengers were rushed to Nandi County Hospital. The accident is said to have occurred along the Nandi Hills-Kapsabet Road near Our Lady of Peace Secondary School.
In another incident, Elgeyo Marakwet Woman Representative Caroline Ng’elechei was also involved in an accident along the Moim- Kapkoi Road in Uasin Gishu County.

According to reports, the accident occurred after the vehicle’s brakes failed which caused the motor vehicle to overturn and roll several times.
Fortunately, the woman representative and her driver escaped unhurt after the unfortunate incident that happened today.
This has made kenyans raise their concerns on the series of accidents happening at small intervals in various parts og the country with a section of kenyans calling for the return of road blocks in various Highways to avert these incidents.
