Abduba Dida’s family has finally broken their silence after reports emerged that the former Kenyan Presidential aspirant is serving seven years in the United States jail.
According to the family, Abduba Dida landed in US jail after he went against a restraining order that his wife had obtained against him and was convicted after he was found guilty of stalking and threatening his estranged American wife.
Reports by the family reveal that Abduba Dida unknowingly visited a prayer centre that was close to the estranged wife’s home without the knowledge that it was an offence as per United States laws.

“He visited a nearby mosque to pray and unfortunately the mosque also happened to be around the area where he was not supposed to be because Mama Lila also frequently visited the mosque.”
The family also revealed that they have not had a chance to visit the former Presidential aspirant in jail and possibly find him a new lawyer to help him incase he needs an appeal against the sentence.
Abduba Dida’s family is now calling for the government and President William Ruto to intervene and aid the release of the former Kenyan Presidential Candidate through good relations between Kenya and the United States.
This comes a day after reports emerged that Abduba Dida was arrested back in 2022 and is currently serving a 7 year jail term that is expected to end in 2029 at the Big Muddy Correctional Centre in the state of Illinois.

According to the family, Dida’s imprisonment is too harsh for a family matter that could have been solved through negotiations and other punishment other than a seven year jail term.
