The Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has issued an update concerning the 2023 KCSE Examination Results.
According to the CS, the examination will be released on the second week of January as complilation, verification and validation of scores is currently ongoing after completion of marking.
The Education Ministry is keen to avoid the KCPE results discrepancies that rocked the results upon release that saw learners, parents and schools protest for errors that were witnessed in various schools and learner scores.

This comes after the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) flagged various media outlets for spreading fake information about dates that the 2023 KCSE Examination Results will be released.
However, the examination body has not reported any issues in the marking of the examinations that according to reports was completed before teachers went back home to their families for christmas.
Currently, KNEC Is working round the clock to ensure that the examination results are released in the second week of January without errors like the ones witnessed in the KCPE results.

The National examinations started on October 23, 2023 with oral tests, and were completed on November 24, 2023 and a total of 903,260 students sat for the final secondary school examinations.
Machogu is expected to release the results to allow students to join various universities across the country. Therefore, various stakeholders have called the examination body to be careful enough for this doesn’t give second chances incase of errors like the ones witnessed in KCPE.
However, the examination body is confident that there will be no errors and has urged parents, students and stakeholders to exercise patience as they compile the final scores and results to release in the second week of January.
